Derek Ryan Jackson, better known as Derek Ryan, is an American rapper, singer, musician, songwriter, public speaker, and aspiring content creator. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, he is formally known as Vito OT. Before that the artist/songwriter went by the name Yung Verb. Under the moniker Yung Verb, he was best known for his collaborations with Crooked Eye, Bubba Sparxx, K Young, and Clyde Carson.

His name changes reflect his journey to find his authentic self and purpose in life, which ironically, brought him full circle, landing on his actual first & middle names, Derek Ryan. Christ centered now, his music is passionate and soulful, self titled and coined as “Soul Poetics”. Known and recognized as a classic lyricist, his versatility stylistically allows him to flow seamlessly between hip-hop, trap, pop, indie vibes and R&B collaborations with his deep rich tones and unique voice.

Derek Ryan’s most recent music was released under the name Vito OT, and has started to pick up some traction with his breakout collaboration on “Prophetic”  with popular and national charting Christian recording artist Kurtis Hoppie and their viral hit “Sunflowers”, a collaboration with Kurtis Hoppie and Lofi recording artist Spencer Bolio. The three artists now make up the group UPSIDEDOWN KINGDOMS and are set to release a plethora of collaborations, as well as solo records in 2024 under the One Vision Army banner.
